According to the Kamasutra, there are 30 types of kisses:

1. Slanted Kiss: When both heads tilt in opposite directions and the kiss occurs in this position.

This is one of the most common ways to kiss and a favorite in movies. The tilted heads allow for better lip contact and deep tongue penetration. It's an excellent way to start a passionate romantic encounter and also a way to ignite your partner's passion.

2. Inclined Kiss: When one person tilts their head back and the other holds them by the chin to kiss them. Sweetness and affection are the main emotions conveyed with this kiss. This type of kiss is suitable for foreplay when you prefer to make love slowly and face to face.

3. Direct Kiss: When both lips meet directly and suck as if they were a ripe fruit. In this type of kiss, the focus is on lips being sucked, nibbled, and gently caressed with the tongue. It's a slow and long kiss that can express strong passion and excite many people more than a tongue kiss.

4. Pressure Kiss: Lips are pressed firmly with a closed mouth. It's a kiss to start or end a relationship, not meant to be held for long. Teeth dig into the inner part of the lips and may draw blood.

5. Upper Kiss: When one person takes the other's upper lip with their teeth and the other responds by kissing the lower lip. This kiss suggests one takes the initiative while the other simply responds, possibly because the Kamasutra was written for active men and passive women. But in a modern couple, each person should be as creative as possible, allowing imagination to show and express itself fully, not just responding to the other's initiative.

6. Clasp Kiss: When one person holds their lover's lips with their own, it's called a clasp kiss. If the kisser touches the other's teeth, gums, tongue, or palate with their tongue, it's called a "tongue fight."

7. Palpitating Kiss: When one person places thousands of tiny kisses all over the other's lips and corners of the mouth.

8. Contact Kiss: When the tongue lightly touches the other's mouth, barely making contact with the lips.

9. Kiss to Ignite the Flame: A kiss at the corners of the lips, usually given in the middle of the night to spark love.

11. Nominal Kiss: When one simply touches the other's mouth with two fingers after kissing it.

12. Eyelash Kiss: When you brush the other's lips or face and caress their eyelashes with kisses.

13. One-Finger Kiss: When the lover traces the beloved's mouth inside and out with a finger.

15. Awakening Kiss: The kiss given on the temples, near the hairline, when the other is asleep, to gently wake them.
