Pipedream Deluxe Fantasy Love Mask: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who the Pipedream Deluxe Fantasy Love Mask is for, and who it isn't for
It suits you if…
- You want a mask that blocks out light during sensory play.
- You want a padded lining against your skin.
- You prefer an elastic strap you can adjust.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You need a specific size. It's one size fits most, but not everyone.
- You prefer a material other than neoprene.
Step by step
How to use the Pipedream Deluxe Fantasy Love Mask
- Agree a safe word or a signal to stop with your partner beforehand, and what will happen while their eyes are covered.
- Place the mask over the eyes, with the padded side against the skin and the contour fitted over the nose.
- Pass the elastic strap behind the head and adjust it until the mask is held in place without being tight.
- Check that the nose and mouth are clear and that the wearer is breathing comfortably.
- Take it off slowly when you finish: it takes the eyes a few seconds to get used to the light again.
Cleaning
Hand wash gently and leave to dry flat. Our tip: use lukewarm water and a mild soap, don't wring it out, and store it once it's completely dry.
Our tips
- If the play also involves a gag, the signal to stop needs to be non-verbal: a gesture or dropping an object from the hand.
- Don't leave the person wearing the mask alone. If they need to move, guide them: it's easy to trip or bump into things without being able to see.
- The strap holds, it doesn't squeeze. If it leaves a mark, is uncomfortable or gives you a headache, loosen it or take the mask off.
- If the wearer feels overwhelmed or dizzy, or has trouble breathing, take it off them and stop.
- Don't use it with irritated eyes or an infection, and wash it before anyone else uses it.
