Boundless Bed Restraint: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Is the Boundless Bed Restraint set right for you?
It suits you if…
- You want to secure wrists and ankles to the bed using straps that run under your mattress.
- You want cuffs with Velcro fastenings that adjust to fit each wrist or ankle.
- You want to detach the cuffs and use the straps away from the bed too.
- You prefer cuffs with a vegan leather outer and padding inside.
Better look elsewhere if…
- Your wrists or ankles measure more than 40.75 cm around. This is the maximum each cuff fits.
- You have a metal allergy. The rings, rivets and swivel clips are metal.
- You only want wrist cuffs. This set includes four cuffs and four straps.
Our usage tips
How to use the Boundless Bed Restraint set
- Run the straps under your mattress, leaving an end sticking out at each side or corner where you want to attach a cuff.
- Adjust the length of each strap so it stays secure and the clip reaches the wrist or ankle.
- Fasten each cuff with its Velcro, making sure it fits snugly without being tight.
- Attach each cuff to its strap using the swivel clip.
- Check hands and feet often throughout play.
Cleaning
Wipe the outside with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, leave to air dry and store dry with the Velcro fastened to prevent snagging.
Our advice
- Agree on a safe word and a non-verbal signal before you start, in case the person being restrained cannot speak.
- Never leave the restrained person alone.
- Check that you can fit a finger between the cuff and the skin.
- If you notice tingling, coldness, numbness or a change in colour in the hands or feet, release the restraints immediately.
- Nothing goes around the neck: the cuffs are for wrists or ankles only.
