Step by step
How to use the Boundless Nipple Grips
- Agree a word or signal to stop before you start, if you're using them with a partner.
- Loosen the screws before putting them on, so the press is open.
- Place them on the nipple and tighten the screws gradually, checking how it feels.
- Take them off by loosening the screws, not by pulling them.
Cleaning
Wipe them with a cloth and warm water with mild soap, especially around the tips. Dry them well, screws included, and store them somewhere dry.
Our advice
- If you feel sharp pain, numbness, coldness or the skin changes colour, take them off.
- Don't leave them on for long, especially the first few times.
- Don't leave the person wearing them on their own.
- When you take them off, the sensation can spike for a moment as the blood returns. Do it slowly.
- Don't put them on irritated or broken skin.
What the science says
What science says about talking during sex
The studies we cite did not test these nipple clamps. What they looked at is communication between partners, which in play involving pressure and pain is what lets you know when to loosen off.
In three studies, the first with 392 adults in relationships, feeling a high level of internal consent and using explicit verbal signals was associated with greater sexual and relationship satisfaction.
