Is it for you?

Who Aquaglide is for, and who it isn't

It suits you if…

  • You want a water-based lubricant in the size that suits you: the 50 ml tube to carry with you or a bottle of up to a litre.
  • You use latex condoms or silicone toys. With a water-based one there's no problem.
  • You want something that has almost no smell or taste and washes off with water.
  • You use it often: the one-litre bottle has a pump and you can use it with one hand.

Better look elsewhere if…

  • You want it for the shower or the bath. Because it is water-based, the water washes it away.
  • You avoid glycerin. All sizes contain it.
  • You are trying for a pregnancy. The manufacturer notes that gynaecologists advise using it sparingly or not at all in that case.

Size and measurements

From the 50 ml tube to the one-litre bottle

The one-litre bottle is about 27.5 cm (10.8 in) tall and 8 wide: it is for keeping on the bedside table or in the bathroom. To carry with you there is the 50 ml tube, and between the two, the 125 and 200 ml bottles.

Step by step

How to use Aquaglide

  1. Apply as much as you like with your fingers on the intimate area or on the toy.
  2. With a condom, apply it on the outside, once the condom is already unrolled.
  3. If it dries out, add a little more or a few drops of water: it reactivates.
  4. When you finish, rinse off with water.

If it stains

It washes off with water. According to the manufacturer, if it dries on clothes or sheets, it comes out without leaving a stain.

Manufacturer's warnings

  • It is not a contraceptive.
  • It contains no spermicide.
  • It does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.

According to Joydivision's instructions for Aquaglide.
