Pretty Love Selkie Mini: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who the Pretty Love Selkie Mini is for, and who it isn't
It suits you if…
- You want a vibrator that someone else can control from a distance.
- You're looking for a vibrating egg with 12 different modes.
- You prefer a small, egg-shaped toy.
- You don't mind that it runs on batteries instead of charging.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You want a rechargeable toy. This one runs on 2 AAA batteries.
- You're after a large vibrator or one with a realistic shape. This is a compact egg.
- You want to use it in the bath or underwater. According to the product information it is water-resistant, which is not the same as fully waterproof (submersible).
Our usage tips
How to use the Pretty Love Selkie Mini
- Put in the 2 AAA batteries before you start.
- Wash the vibrating egg before first use with warm water and mild soap, without submerging it, and dry it.
- Test the remote with the egg in your hand before you start: you'll see how it cycles through the 12 modes.
- Apply water-based lubricant to the egg.
- Use it externally or insert it slowly into the vagina. You can hold the remote yourself or hand it to your partner.
- Clean it when you finish and store it dry.
Cleaning
Wash the egg before and after each use with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner, without submerging it. Rinse it well and dry it with a lint-free cloth before storing it. For the remote, wipe it only with a barely damp cloth.
Our advice
- Use water-based lubricant: it works with toys made of any material.
- Don't submerge it or use it in the bath.
- If you insert it, use it only in the vagina, and check how you will take it out before you start.
- Don't use it anally: a vibrating egg has no base that stays outside.
- Stop if you feel pain or discomfort.
- Take the batteries out if you're going to store it for a long time.
- If you share it, wash it between one person and the next.

How many modes does the Pretty Love Selkie Mini have?
12 vibration modes, with different intensities and patterns.
Is the Pretty Love Selkie Mini rechargeable?
No. It runs on 2 AAA batteries, so it needs no cable or plug: when they run out, you replace them.

According to the product information, it is made of ABS, a rigid plastic. A water-based lubricant works well with it.

According to the product information, it is water-resistant, which is not the same as fully waterproof (submersible). Our advice: wash it without submerging it and do not use it in the bath.

We haven't confirmed the dimensions of the vibrating egg or how much is insertable. We do know the size of its box: 13 × 8 × 4.5 cm (5.1 × 3.1 × 1.8 in), a little taller than a 33 cl can (11.5 cm (4.5 in)). The egg is smaller than that.

Water-based. Water-based lubricants work with toys made of any material and with latex condoms, and they wash off with soap and water.
